Climate Crisis and Environmental Justice
7/6 14h BR | 18h UK
The climate crisis impacts unequally different layers of society. The most vulnerable are more exposed to the negative consequences of climate change. In a country that lacks environmental policy, such as Brazil, the Judiciary is being called upon to take action to tackle rising temperatures. The discussion to overcome this urgent crisis must encompass the interlink between race, gender, social class, and intergenerational justice. The panel will address the discussion in an innovative approach, which takes into account the multiple fronts that influence the topic.
