Pandemic and income in Brazil: possible pathways

8/6 17h BR | 21h UK

On the 8th of June, at 9 pm (BST), Brazil Forum UK will present the panel “Pandemic and income in Brazil: possible pathways”.
The COVID-19 pandemic has escalated the economic crisis that Brazil has been going through for over six years, accelerating unemployment, informal labour, and closing small businesses. However, not everyone feels this crisis in the same way, especially considering that Brazil is one of the Latin American countries with the highest social inequality according to the World Bank.
Based on recognising different Brazilian social realities, this panel discusses alternatives and possible ways to face inequality, considering its aggravation with the current health crisis.
